Goethe Square with the Kasseturm Tower and the city wall is an emblematic space located in the heart of the picturesque city of Weimar.

Kasseturm, this famous tower, which has been in history since 1500, is famous as the oldest student club in Germany. Its address, Goetheplatz 10, testifies to its iconic significance. Originally rising on two floors and culminating in a distinctive crenellated tower, today the Kasseturm has become a venue for a variety of cultural events, including concerts, exhibitions and theatre performances.

As for the city wall, historically built between the 14th and 15th centuries, it formerly surrounded Weimar itself. Today, only a few sections remain, one of which is the fragment adjacent to the Kasseturm.
