The Gedächtniskirche, also known as the Ranke Round Church, is one of the important historical landmarks of Berlin, Germany. It is located on Ranke Strasse in the neighbourhood of Charlottenburg.

The history of the church is linked to the events of World War I and the aftermath of bombing during World War II. The original church was built in the late 19th century and became one of Berlin's main architectural landmarks. However, during World War II in 1943, the church was severely damaged by bombing raids. Only a few fragments of the building remained standing, and its ruins became a kind of monument and reminder of the cruelty of the war.

After the war, in 1950-1960, a new ensemble was erected on the site, including a new church, a large memorial and a new bell tower. The new church building, known for its modern architecture with glass walls and the old church tower, became a symbol of reconstruction and peace after the war.

The church is located in the centre of Berlin and is an important cultural and religious centre of the city. The church and the memorial also attract tourists from all over the world who want to see this historical symbol and pray for peace and tranquillity.
